<br />
As you can see, it comes out brilliantly. Yes, my hair is bleached. The blue didn't come out quite as vibrant in this application, but I put it on another part of my hair at a later date and left it on for 2 hours and it came out just perfectly. (Picture below) The pink takes much quicker and I've left it on for as little as 10 minutes and still gotten bright, long-lasting results. It also fades nicely to different shades of pink that sort of look on-purpose instead of fading to a drull, drab, odd color like some brands do.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiyctaCywiKU3zgUbkTQ779IHlGU4FYk1t5xMa4IV4i1X62j7SwYAh9A8cxUcWAHVbl2MmNkQ4IFNVanFD-irCT93L4kV7ejIvhGdAB3UGcYNmc-_-jHyxTYZSj8ex7cxOGQWJl_nrpx7U/s1600/106.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiyctaCywiKU3zgUbkTQ779IHlGU4FYk1t5xMa4IV4i1X62j7SwYAh9A8cxUcWAHVbl2MmNkQ4IFNVanFD-irCT93L4kV7ejIvhGdAB3UGcYNmc-_-jHyxTYZSj8ex7cxOGQWJl_nrpx7U/s320/106.JPG" height="320" width="207" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
My only complaint is that the takes forever and ever to wash out completely, which if you don't like to rotate your colors a lot, then I suppose is no big deal. An added bonus to that, though, is that if you get <strike>impatient</strike><i> creative</i> and put pink over the blue after it fades a bit, you get a cool purple color.<br />
<br />
I adore this stuff and don't use anything else. <3 I've tried a few other brands, but I always kept coming back to Manic Panic.<br />
<br />
I bought these two pots at the same time for about $6 each, which is great because they last. I have had them for 3 or 4 months now, and they are still over half-way full (update - ended up lasting A YEAR!!). I just make sure the lid is on securely and store them in the medicine cabinet. Keep in mind, I only do my bangs and tips, but still, that's a lot of product and I figure I'll have them for at least another 3 or 4 months...Unless I get more colors before then! *-*<br />
<br />
*Update - I have since been playing with these colors quite a bit and in all different ways!<br />
<br />
I used the Hot Hot Pink mixed down 1/3 dye and 2/3 conditioner to dye my ENTIRE head and I just adore it. I mixed it a bit unevenly so I'd get a faceted color and this was my result:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiztB8hI7zf_WXAJ2qgDb84XfhogTRIdORBc8feU_5zVqfjIwwqBmOXU97sQPT97tAm-a67EHMV4gYvNkPJwpYSpNO-62jX6RPwZ878z-OmGfamRli_5hSGxNOZdOxlJU_wLYKHi0fmuLg/s1600/074.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiztB8hI7zf_WXAJ2qgDb84XfhogTRIdORBc8feU_5zVqfjIwwqBmOXU97sQPT97tAm-a67EHMV4gYvNkPJwpYSpNO-62jX6RPwZ878z-OmGfamRli_5hSGxNOZdOxlJU_wLYKHi0fmuLg/s320/074.JPG" height="320" width="184" /></a></div>
<br />
I've learned that Manic Panic's colors are amazingly easy to work with and since then I always buy the brightest shades in any color I want. You can mix them with each other to get new and interesting shades and you can even dilute them with conditioner...I, for instance, used just a teeny bit of the Hot Hot Pink mixed with about 1/2 cup of conditioner and left it in for about 2 hours and came out with the cutest cotton candy pink streaks at one point! Needless to say, I'm sold even more on this brand.<br />
<br />
<span style="color: red;">Update: Since this post, I still adore this brand, but I did learn something important: Always check whether a red is a blue base or not. They have a ton of reds and the only one that was in at the local store I shop at was not a blue base and it came out this gawful flaming orange color! A user error, to be sure, but still something to always research and consider!</span><br />

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
The color is 'Think Pink' and I was looking for a dupe for a Bite color I was obsessed with and almost out of.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi9M14DbFaSO2vQLPnPGRFWk4M-7rdXPP0aghGybOpkTbw9JWlkPJZzG9EuOVSbQUwuFTob4Yqvmeuw8IAJqj2RUQjllboJWjVKGvt6jdrOQLhkFhyhvqUGha-xltcFJkIZJZEDM5Ip4Owg/s1600/033.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi9M14DbFaSO2vQLPnPGRFWk4M-7rdXPP0aghGybOpkTbw9JWlkPJZzG9EuOVSbQUwuFTob4Yqvmeuw8IAJqj2RUQjllboJWjVKGvt6jdrOQLhkFhyhvqUGha-xltcFJkIZJZEDM5Ip4Owg/s1600/033.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
I thought this baby would do the trick.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJ1ekdmVymIy7D2RHq6DZ5RrE9J-Znoh2MERFTmKoTSCeW9nxB3BKFKAfubV4-1psTTmNhT7ptSPFByQZXdyTCH9vMxYCMIgA1Q-Jw8zNdYlcYTvVHyWpR8W-JJ1cte6cytGc0Eu9Xozkm/s1600/002.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjJ1ekdmVymIy7D2RHq6DZ5RrE9J-Znoh2MERFTmKoTSCeW9nxB3BKFKAfubV4-1psTTmNhT7ptSPFByQZXdyTCH9vMxYCMIgA1Q-Jw8zNdYlcYTvVHyWpR8W-JJ1cte6cytGc0Eu9Xozkm/s1600/002.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
But, alas, it was too pink. Not only that, but the formula felt a bit on the dry and heavy side and it always landed me with chapped lips, so I banished it from my makeup box.<br />
<br />
I'd pretty much vowed not to try any more Mega Last lip colors until one day reading articles and comments on <a href="http://www.xovain.com/">XOVain</a>, someone had commented that Smokin' Hot Pink was a bitchin' bright pink that stained and faded nicely.<br />
<br />
I had to know.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiaPpzufhEVAAwGFhx3kISF62DrqPrEsERv4XXy9_567ikCzOHE7j-kE80jThvoeNPvBU1zSGMcu2QlcUaVfSYcepI2UESLYfyGfDsdw7_lR2xmgw9QTTs7FuKetIqwWIq1NMRfSlIiTGWb/s1600/020.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiaPpzufhEVAAwGFhx3kISF62DrqPrEsERv4XXy9_567ikCzOHE7j-kE80jThvoeNPvBU1zSGMcu2QlcUaVfSYcepI2UESLYfyGfDsdw7_lR2xmgw9QTTs7FuKetIqwWIq1NMRfSlIiTGWb/s1600/020.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I found it at a local store and snapped it up.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg2omWzlw_PnPkPnksvbHahhSZe6Wd98RovbP5ULauYNEWKaFMdkSuvtr67Rs7STpoHSSNEfDh2W-i1yep_17z_hu2Bkt7sJUJWZNb1IQ8HhNGums1njAcCL9yPyC0IfV3WBlx8IVwm7nZA/s1600/018.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg2omWzlw_PnPkPnksvbHahhSZe6Wd98RovbP5ULauYNEWKaFMdkSuvtr67Rs7STpoHSSNEfDh2W-i1yep_17z_hu2Bkt7sJUJWZNb1IQ8HhNGums1njAcCL9yPyC0IfV3WBlx8IVwm7nZA/s1600/018.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
At first, I thought I'd made another mistake because the color in the tube looked a tad bit chalky and lighter than I'd hoped. "There goes another $2," I thought. Then, I put it on...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiw3cTVUmqaa5fYwuhQT60ULKUgMITDFME_QXBw10-JEXPaN4rp5-KVYvw6pADMpVeMqMZYd3D-pfjBxI8UFaDeCCefDfmnoJwnH6bv-dAdHxSrWuSn4KG5E3tStuXSWR7Y_HaYLVmmYBYw/s1600/021.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiw3cTVUmqaa5fYwuhQT60ULKUgMITDFME_QXBw10-JEXPaN4rp5-KVYvw6pADMpVeMqMZYd3D-pfjBxI8UFaDeCCefDfmnoJwnH6bv-dAdHxSrWuSn4KG5E3tStuXSWR7Y_HaYLVmmYBYw/s1600/021.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
...and was gifted a gorgeous truly HOT pink lipstick. The photos do not do it justice and, the person who left the comment was right - it lasts forever, but when it does fade, it fades to a gorgeous "been making out all day" hue, a deep, pink stain. It also doesn't dry out my lips and looks great on, stays put without liner, and has a matte finish that I just love. <br />
<br />
Bonus! If you layer a coat of Baby Lips Electro in Pink Shock over the top of it, it gives it a crazy dimensional neon-ish look and a bit of shine!<br />
<br />
Lesson learned. I'll be trying a few more of these colors!<br />
<br />
Are there any brands/lines that you've almost given up on and they changed your mind?<br />

This is yet another review from <a href="http://howtofeedawookie.blogspot.com/2012/12/care-package-of-beauty-awesomeness.html" target="_blank">the big box o' awesome</a>, which is so amazingly awesome that months later I'm only about 2/3 or so through the reviews!<br />
<br />
This liner is a nice coffee shade of brown and really has some serious staying power. You can pick one of these up for around 5 bucks at most drugstores or large retailers. It tends to stay exactly where you put it and do so for a very long time. I tend to swatch in designs when I first try a solid liner to see how well it will move when applying it. If it skips when I draw the loops, then I know it will be a pain to apply evenly on my lid.<br />

I forgot to take a shot with the cap off, apparently, but it is a thin, twist-up pencil, the kind I prefer.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh1iDpP_pgYJ3XG1xgAaqey28iOqZVRPCiYuGWjMzS4FIdmtf3WrZza7a67e10m2pQv9yzu7RWbjFNBSwqFCw_tTU8axfrOWTONzoYbVvGz_SnZWnwgOgFs2FFe6yq-9Rdo3tIuK1Thn_R4/s1600/024.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh1iDpP_pgYJ3XG1xgAaqey28iOqZVRPCiYuGWjMzS4FIdmtf3WrZza7a67e10m2pQv9yzu7RWbjFNBSwqFCw_tTU8axfrOWTONzoYbVvGz_SnZWnwgOgFs2FFe6yq-9Rdo3tIuK1Thn_R4/s320/024.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
It also has this little sharpener in the end, which I find handy as these are near impossible to sharpen in a standard one. I know this because I was in high school when I bought my first twist-up liner like this it didn't say on the package that it had a sharpener in the end and I frustrated myself for weeks trying to sharpen it on my regular sharpener. One day, the end popped off when I was using it, I instantly knew what it was, and then I felt pretty stupid.<br />
<br />
Over all, I'd give this a 10/10. It doesn't smudge, lasts all day, yet is smooth and easy to apply. Not so easy to remove, though, lol.<br />

The best ones I've had were Mac Hello Kitty ones that were, according to the website I bought them from a legit, albeit cheaper line, but numerous blogs and review sites either stated them to be total fakes or agreed with the 'cheap Mac line' thing. I don't know, but I thought they were pretty damn good...Certainly better than the dollar store one I'd had before I got them.<br />
<br />
These, however, blew those out of the water. I'm sure I'd probably just have a 'Guy from Scanners' moment if I ever got a hold of like Sigma or Tarte or the other brands I always hear beauty bloggers and vloggers having total cosmetic-gasms over...So my opinion may not mean much here, but...Oh...am I ever in love.<br />

<br />
I have actually had this gorgeous set for quite sometime because I wanted to use them a ton before I made a judgement call and even wash them plenty of times so I could tell how they hold up, how the shed, etc. I am impressed. These have had little-to-no shedding, even after several washes and have held their shape so amazingly well which is something I can't say for my old Mac(?) HK set.<br />

<br />
This is the brush that I love the most though. This is a dual-fiber crease brush and this, ladies, was a game. changer. I had no idea how easy a cut crease could be - or that you could do one with just eye shadow instead of having to use eyeliner and then scrape your eyelid off trying to blend it out - until I got this baby. <br />

<br />
The angled liner brush is great and super easy to use. It comes to such a fine edge that I can even tightline with it. I've tried it with a gel liner and a powder liner and it works incredibly well with both. I'm still admittedly much better with a traditional liquid liner than I am with this thing, but I'm getting better and better at it due to my staunch refusal to buy traditional liquid liner until I have MASTERED this.<br />
<br />

<br />
This is a...I'm still not 100% on what this is or how to use it properly. I *think* this should be used with a powder foundation, but I have no clue. I wear concealer and powder, but have recently had to give up foundation all together. It has begun to age the hell out of me. Lines I can't even see makeup-free suddenly spring to life with anything heavier on my face than a light smattering of powder and concealer on only the most troublesome spots.<br />
<br />
Tips? Tricks? Help? :(<br />
<br />
Either way, this brush is fluffy and feels great on the skin. I've used it to buff out my powder a few times, though I don't notice a difference other than that it seems to have a lighter powder coverage than using the powder sponge. I seem to be totally foundation-routine-stupid for the last two years since I hit my late 20s and my skin has began to change some.<br />

<br />
The only cons I found is that the set didn't come with a concealer brush or a blending brush, but I just simply saved the ones from my old Mac(?) Hello Kitty set. <br />
<br />
Although I'm not entirely sure how to use all of them properly, they are such a massively huge step above what I was using before and I am so impressed! From what I've seen on amazon, you can snag a set of these at a very reasonable price and I would say they are *definitely* 100% worth the money!<br />
<br />
What brushes do you prefer? Do you have any tips for have a smoother foundation/concealer/powder routine for skin that is not yet aging, but just...not exactly like it once was?<br />

I love the packaging, the heart-shaped bottle, and the cute little 'F' stamp on the top.<br />
<br />
I love everything except that stupid new Wet-n-Wild flat 'pro' brush. That thing sucks, but I guess I have to live with it. However, I do reserve the right to bitch up a storm every time I have to wrestle with the damned thing.<br />
<br />
Anyway, on to the color and mani!!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgeoqHJQgvW4GqKSLsts0ZjTAh34_9EY10N15Ku-ZPZnZAMCVV9osyecUSujq_MxHJLIVMzDOkhpiCU_R3_ymWgeCdy2XIk0Xzvf6FDsbbdxoJinMMbJzjENkVz_15POL66sgiAgwHC8_hR/s1600/060.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgeoqHJQgvW4GqKSLsts0ZjTAh34_9EY10N15Ku-ZPZnZAMCVV9osyecUSujq_MxHJLIVMzDOkhpiCU_R3_ymWgeCdy2XIk0Xzvf6FDsbbdxoJinMMbJzjENkVz_15POL66sgiAgwHC8_hR/s1600/060.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Fucking love this color. It comes out somewhere between a hot pink and a bright coral. I find that three coats work best, though I think I used two here, so you can still see a bit of translucency in the tips, and since it is a neon it dries matte, so you do have to top coat it.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmapYgRZCsENhRIeUQ97eSlQF9TNjjypGGhnhNIOzme2kKdpvvPHvPXRq5bKEIFnYWBKZDkT1XjJ8Xz8zrG4L1fRJvX7NgeljKyZyIdAbhDjqPR9DO1rH7Qo8pNRImVNP4aMAYYo0AbCZ-/s1600/062.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmapYgRZCsENhRIeUQ97eSlQF9TNjjypGGhnhNIOzme2kKdpvvPHvPXRq5bKEIFnYWBKZDkT1XjJ8Xz8zrG4L1fRJvX7NgeljKyZyIdAbhDjqPR9DO1rH7Qo8pNRImVNP4aMAYYo0AbCZ-/s1600/062.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
All in all, though, I love this color. I find it to be very unique since the shade is just...bizarre, but in the best way. Depending on the tone of your skin, the lighting, or what you're wearing sometimes it looks down-right orangey and others it looks VERY pink, which is cool!<br />
<br />
What do you think?<br />

The creme cleanser is super gentle and leaves your face feeling crazy soft. It has a light perfume-y smell, but nothing that is offensive of strong. It didn't break out even my sensitive skin.<br />

<br />
This is the Soft Clean Silky Hydrating Lotion. I've used up all of the products except for this one. That isn't because it isn't good...In fact, it is the complete opposite. I've hoarded it because it is SO GOOD for dry skin from allergies. I tend to get dry skin around my nose from rubbing it a lot when my allergies go haywire and this is perfect to just dab around with a cotton ball so you're not having to do extra rubbing to just irritate things more. Love. It *is* technically a toner, but I usually just use Witch Hazel to tone and save this for the aforementioned skin problem.<br />

This is the Advanced Night Repair, which I don't think is technically part of the set, but we're gonna throw it in there because...because. I can. That's why. <br />
<br />
This stuff is good, but I found the smell to be off-putting. While everything else on this review has the nice, soft, perfume-y smell I mentioned with the cleaner, this one smelled like vitamins and dirt. I guess that could be good for your skin, but I'd find myself trying not to sniff it when I applied it. Still, since it did make me wake up all moisturizey, that is something I can over look. <br />
<br />
The only other con with this one is that I would apply it, let it dry, then apply a coat of the below moisturizer before going to bed...Maybe that isn't how you should use them because it would create a residue on my skin you could 'roll' off if you rubbed the moisturizer in too much...Like when you get glue on your hands.<br />

<br />
The Estee Lauder Resilience Lift Extreme - What can I say about this stuff? I really love it. It is so thick and creamy and moisturizes wonderfully. The only con with it is that since it is so thick, you have to wait 5-10 minutes after applying it before you can apply makeup, but that isn't a big deal.<br />
<br />
While we could sit here and argue for days over how high-priced these are, I can say that if I could afford to keep them around all the time, I probably would. As stupid as it sounds, the gorgeous scent of (most of) these, the consistency of their formulas, and the gorgeousness of the packaging just make you feel like you're pampering yourself and your skin so much when you use them. I know I've said it before, but everything should have cute packaging!!Wookie Wifeyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/00566251339256481049noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1962736908457337369.post-64081050450159478422014-08-26T09:33:00.001-07:002014-08-26T09:33:31.230-07:00Review - Physician's Formula FlatlinerTime for another awesomely positive review! ^_^ <br />
<br />
In the <a href="http://wookiewifeys-romulanvanity.blogspot.com/2014/07/the-brown-liner-showdown.html">Brown Liner Showdown</a> last month, I'd left two out. Two of the big bunch I had just stood WAY out from the rest. So much so that I didn't feel it would even be fair to pit them up against those other ones. Here's one of those two:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi8A0roY8OhxNXGH2lmTb8R2wvkop1G96CfMUEKuAuTFHsESJWxABvJyncomcH-fqbzCxSJZhANW7sR6YWoX7lBRAWuUSu56T8pelzwqyOkEy8IAeOoNsPwGuOx1O81XX2kIo96frBAD6e1/s1600/026.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi8A0roY8OhxNXGH2lmTb8R2wvkop1G96CfMUEKuAuTFHsESJWxABvJyncomcH-fqbzCxSJZhANW7sR6YWoX7lBRAWuUSu56T8pelzwqyOkEy8IAeOoNsPwGuOx1O81XX2kIo96frBAD6e1/s1600/026.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
This is, hands down, the coolest and most unique eye liner I've ever used.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkzgBcVYzggubEgVLKF70Bj6fozIYqkw0e3D2_SE6nXCBtAkbtVEZpO2RiGTI71rSZO3-EyoRUb7-kF4fKWIhdYqr9ucaRGkF4d9AbRG_icLKHjTxjFYiKaquGSrDZydxBkxwbD76FgLsr/s1600/029.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkzgBcVYzggubEgVLKF70Bj6fozIYqkw0e3D2_SE6nXCBtAkbtVEZpO2RiGTI71rSZO3-EyoRUb7-kF4fKWIhdYqr9ucaRGkF4d9AbRG_icLKHjTxjFYiKaquGSrDZydxBkxwbD76FgLsr/s1600/029.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
This is Physician's Formula Flatliner in Dark Brown. I rarely meet a product of theirs I *don't* like. They are my very favorite drugstore brand. No, I'm not getting paid to say that, but I wish I was!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhiR71cY0OIylmkWStd0rOeTE5r4VN-guNY_Mmvb8fAcPdYvWqJuI8zMWTVKmyAoecTb9E3N45f9jTj8kB5oQlm3pqagzE5eDVfhdzCMT_9dUvBIs4AHt4CwHRz-i9aKtWy2jyJp5dS0zHP/s1600/032.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhiR71cY0OIylmkWStd0rOeTE5r4VN-guNY_Mmvb8fAcPdYvWqJuI8zMWTVKmyAoecTb9E3N45f9jTj8kB5oQlm3pqagzE5eDVfhdzCMT_9dUvBIs4AHt4CwHRz-i9aKtWy2jyJp5dS0zHP/s1600/032.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Just check this puppy out - it is exactly what it sounds like. A FLAT liner.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-HBZ8_XKCxIoJ08khvPcQuwKZ4jI9mklD927etnWrKwvRuMASqdLKjG4ZsLdLDDPDTS0KPGUxSKK5q5b-RlWRhinorbeLROj3y9Fm4qSCqoMWo-dI8C4-gMu1r_NKBLYljhDBPSzvTPMD/s1600/033.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-HBZ8_XKCxIoJ08khvPcQuwKZ4jI9mklD927etnWrKwvRuMASqdLKjG4ZsLdLDDPDTS0KPGUxSKK5q5b-RlWRhinorbeLROj3y9Fm4qSCqoMWo-dI8C4-gMu1r_NKBLYljhDBPSzvTPMD/s1600/033.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
The top swatch is the liner used to just swatch straight across. So easy to apply and it takes almost a concerted effort to get it on crooked. The only con I could see is that it does go on in a rather thick line and there isn't the option to get a teeny pencil-thin one for tight lining and the like.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi7vC9EZaHToFWmBxFCnQ_YEDyLdEZhd5CC_O45FT8YU0y3SF4AQ1nTogbGeJa1AcdlzGOeJLcWowLs1niwoQTmTxswb8kCQAjgb-7SZj780ePvdNJuX9Lkkes4qAYQvNstIaGScbq9pYIz/s1600/034.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi7vC9EZaHToFWmBxFCnQ_YEDyLdEZhd5CC_O45FT8YU0y3SF4AQ1nTogbGeJa1AcdlzGOeJLcWowLs1niwoQTmTxswb8kCQAjgb-7SZj780ePvdNJuX9Lkkes4qAYQvNstIaGScbq9pYIz/s1600/034.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
The bottom swatch, I used just the corner of it so you could see that it does still glide on and is very easy to control, despite the odd shape.<br />
<br />
This stuff is awesome. It goes on well, it wears well, and the uniqueness of it just kills me. Definitely one I'd buy again (only in black!) and recommend.<br />

I always love doing reviews like this. Even though I started the whole 'makeup breakup' name to try to make the shit reviews a bit more fun to do, I still don't care for doing them. It doesn't bother me as much if the product just isn't for me, but if it is something I feel is just truly shoddy quality, then I don't like to write the reviews! In the interest of being honest about everything I try, though, I do it anyway. For, like, all 3 of you who actually read this. LOL<br />

<br />
While they are both sort of sheer, I also found them to be buildable and they do have a lovely shimmer.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgI_oOgS2Q9-KGypEZVX_cPEWGScwudnHcgzuEymTS9Uaws1vGKPzfsL7_lK2zptFMk9XHJQS7cO88-jgWzeJF7ESgFGchm3146jJa3zXnDEmZdT1xCIkbRKC8yMo3NUowzVN6PWzkip2b5/s1600/051+(2).JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgI_oOgS2Q9-KGypEZVX_cPEWGScwudnHcgzuEymTS9Uaws1vGKPzfsL7_lK2zptFMk9XHJQS7cO88-jgWzeJF7ESgFGchm3146jJa3zXnDEmZdT1xCIkbRKC8yMo3NUowzVN6PWzkip2b5/s1600/051+(2).JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
You can see they are a bit darker here after another swipe across. The Rose Envy is my favorite as it looks very natural on the lip with only one coat, or at least it does for my lip color. It more gives you this nice flush to your lips instead of an in-your-face color. While you'd still have to pry my red lipstick from my cold, dead fingers, this stuff has been nice for summer. When it is too hot to do a full foundation routine without it melting off, you need something a bit more natural as I don't personally care for the look of a super dramatic look with a mostly-bare face.<br />
<br />
Pros: They had a super creamy consistency and weren't drying at all, which is a plus! Consistency and moisture-wise, they rather remind me of my Maybelline Baby Lips, which is a good thing. <br />
<br />
Cons: I didn't find either one of them to be particularly long-lasting. They're not unusually bad, but they just require a periodic re-application.<br />

I decided this wing was the most fitting. Because, that's why.</i><br />
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
I don’t know about your corner of the world, but here it is
the absolute dog days of summer. Around
my neck of the woods, that means temperatures soaring over 100 degrees, a sun
that is trying to bludgeon you to death, plus humidity that makes all your
clothing adhere to you, melts off any makeup you apply, and ruins any hair
style with insta-frizz. Most days, all I
want to do is lie on the floor in nothing but my underwear and cry. Since I have plenty of experience with summer
heat, here are my tips for beating it:<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<h2>
<span style="color: magenta;">1 – Lie on the floor in my underwear and cry.</span></h2>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
Sometimes, it is best to go with your initial instinct and
just have a good cry. The heat
sucks. Global warming is making it
suckier. People suck. The sun sucks. Everything sucks.<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<h2>
<span style="color: magenta;">2 – Convince the neighbors I may be swelling from a horrid
allergic reaction.</span></h2>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
On the truly horrible days, a girl’s gotta do what a girl’s
gotta do, up to and including posting yourself up over the nearest window unit
whilst holding your shirt over the vents, thus allowing that sweet, sweet cold
air to inflate said shirt and dry out your underboob.<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<h2>
<span style="color: magenta;">3 – Fill my tub with lukewarm water and pretend I have a
pool.</span></h2>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
This is for us poorer folk, but I suppose anyone could try
it, though why you would WANT to if you can afford a pool is completely beyond
me. While it is actually more effective
to use hot water and point a fan at yourself, some days it is *so* damned hot
that even air blowing in your face can make you want to throw a tantrum<i> a la
</i>terrible twos.<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<h2>
<span style="background-color: white;"><span style="color: magenta;">4 – Try to finish a drink before the ice melts.</span></span></h2>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
So maybe this one is more of a game than a way to cool off,
but when your ice melts at astonishingly alarming rates, leaving your drink
lukewarm and no longer doing its job of actually helping you be cooler,
sometimes it is interesting to see if you can beat the melting ice. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
*Spoiler alert: you can’t, and trying too hard
will result in paying homage to the porcelain gods.<o:p></o:p></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
**Bonus: this is actually effective if the drink is vodka, but it also makes the above addendum doubly-true.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<h2>
<span style="color: magenta;">5 – Develop a braver fashion sense.</span></h2>
<o:p></o:p></div>
<br />
<div class="MsoNormal">
Okay, so the only truly serious one on the list (except for
maybe the underwear-and-cry one), when it gets so damned hot that you just
really don’t give a fuck anymore, you find yourself becoming crazy brave with
what you’re willing to leave the house in.
Suddenly you’re less embarrassed to go out in that sheer top or the
shorts that put your cellulite on display.
Suddenly, those options seem more and more appealing and anyone who
disproves of your back fat in that sheer top can just travel downward a few
inches and kiss your ass.<o:p></o:p><br />

<br />
Unfortunately, its time for another makeup breakup post. *Cue sad music* I hate writing bad reviews. I really hate it. I try to be a positive person (though I fail a lot because...person), so when I find something I don't like I'll usually try it several times JUST to be sure.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmNP0XzRjnW6WSj9fFh1ZyTB46Ug8njW24RBt39eXp-t422fHckfKrmUPsQDljPYj5SuugrFDlZQW-05il73OkUzbZsl2bKc9JNTu9rJIk8tmVavbvH2bXzwHDBEFz5AZc8-thz8rtYASj/s1600/020.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhmNP0XzRjnW6WSj9fFh1ZyTB46Ug8njW24RBt39eXp-t422fHckfKrmUPsQDljPYj5SuugrFDlZQW-05il73OkUzbZsl2bKc9JNTu9rJIk8tmVavbvH2bXzwHDBEFz5AZc8-thz8rtYASj/s1600/020.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
This is the case with Boscia bb cream! I love bb creams and wanted to love this so much that I used it a good half dozen times before I finally gave up on it. This one was *almost* perfect, what with its sun protection, cute packaging, and good coverage, but the one thing that was wrong with it is a SERIOUS deal-breaker for me.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjd6A_Jxp3D3Xn0keg7vCqnxvWHJFHY4mXyxsSeCyl5B0ayU9OPCUsRGYCMuHCxOAhYEOGQPCP1Vc29EcEnMsHZvRJ0sakFsraZMXls9Wu8vgEBOnh6VGRVg0UuRosJOV-DY2-LmJtCfu7W/s1600/022.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjd6A_Jxp3D3Xn0keg7vCqnxvWHJFHY4mXyxsSeCyl5B0ayU9OPCUsRGYCMuHCxOAhYEOGQPCP1Vc29EcEnMsHZvRJ0sakFsraZMXls9Wu8vgEBOnh6VGRVg0UuRosJOV-DY2-LmJtCfu7W/s1600/022.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
On the back, it says it creates a "lustrous" finish. Okay.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDofW65HvN79hfFv7VgbbcRQ2HV5cOwFhepLYCZL7bZwytR19DwafrQ72IbeAFzeBwIEZYFiI6eLYJZrrVdyO_sDfR8QoXvwvM5jvsuXs0kIoepHcQUfv84LC1mRpd1OWJ14-Vji63P2Qj/s1600/023.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiDofW65HvN79hfFv7VgbbcRQ2HV5cOwFhepLYCZL7bZwytR19DwafrQ72IbeAFzeBwIEZYFiI6eLYJZrrVdyO_sDfR8QoXvwvM5jvsuXs0kIoepHcQUfv84LC1mRpd1OWJ14-Vji63P2Qj/s1600/023.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
When you first put it on, it looks deceptively like a normal bb cream.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEglgYZmnsVVTKAo7gU-P2iHrm63CM9a18XxJ76hN5rVxaCdxJdnNUxNWjuTKe8xRsgJYAYvzLcgg3KvBJuKKxI8XaywsLNhAAWOXFe1V_Q_5sQnYcHPwZHKRaRUUAqVqdJGvrwg3QfZ2uls/s1600/026.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEglgYZmnsVVTKAo7gU-P2iHrm63CM9a18XxJ76hN5rVxaCdxJdnNUxNWjuTKe8xRsgJYAYvzLcgg3KvBJuKKxI8XaywsLNhAAWOXFe1V_Q_5sQnYcHPwZHKRaRUUAqVqdJGvrwg3QfZ2uls/s1600/026.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Now, it is hard to tell in these photos, but it is "lustrous" because it has freakin' glitter in it. <br />
<br />
Seriously. <br />
<br />
Not shimmer.<br />
<br />
Glitter. Silver glitter.<br />
<br />
If anything, this made fine lines *worse* on my face. I'm creepin' on 29, so while I do have a few fine lines starting to show in my laugh line areas (damn you, genetics!!), they usually are completely un-noticeable to anyone but myself...Except when I put this on. I swear, it aged me 10 years, because the glitter that is supposed to create that "lustrous" look actually settles into fine lines you didn't even know you had!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi657kftx0L1h8jjn_RIreFZJXuwQcaRbacXwQjXfzKj5b1L0-oOHphi3eDVVGkb68VidsB7rAyDM0uLp2gFC1x32_YKWd5hZ1rkpWVYkujSICu86_f5gEhAR-pkMRbj0OkSaEsgHzuHzrv/s1600/028.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi657kftx0L1h8jjn_RIreFZJXuwQcaRbacXwQjXfzKj5b1L0-oOHphi3eDVVGkb68VidsB7rAyDM0uLp2gFC1x32_YKWd5hZ1rkpWVYkujSICu86_f5gEhAR-pkMRbj0OkSaEsgHzuHzrv/s1600/028.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
You can see a few sparkles on my hand in most of these photos. Since my camera doesn't like to pick up shimmer or glitter for crap, then you can just imagine how many there are. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiK5Yw319SMx_9s7kRUy_1pghkx-zwWLQ77L46br1aMOj_2UG3fXiTN02BhO55VW1MNd-7yMbR0bgyM7awCVuWgfiuobXP2Al1Pt2aIF7jQThnHCdtn6X1kh4eS-nKgH5xWHGRD4iOHu842/s1600/029.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiK5Yw319SMx_9s7kRUy_1pghkx-zwWLQ77L46br1aMOj_2UG3fXiTN02BhO55VW1MNd-7yMbR0bgyM7awCVuWgfiuobXP2Al1Pt2aIF7jQThnHCdtn6X1kh4eS-nKgH5xWHGRD4iOHu842/s1600/029.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
It isn't disco ball proportions, but it is still a lot of glitter...Enough that I kind of felt like 13-year-old me would have swooned. In this photo, you can even see how it makes my HAND look older.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjuc_AzPvimTvxBWHr3IU7I0Knf-ksizS6YEgsqV0-ZbZU6x9g3db6ZZ1-Sdk1DkSqjsLvaR0rV7dbVQpXIj_vAix_rB4arjdFOaq_VFw5DHBnft6ZdpK6RvEOtpmvqutw_5KbuWRK4D8Tq/s1600/032.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjuc_AzPvimTvxBWHr3IU7I0Knf-ksizS6YEgsqV0-ZbZU6x9g3db6ZZ1-Sdk1DkSqjsLvaR0rV7dbVQpXIj_vAix_rB4arjdFOaq_VFw5DHBnft6ZdpK6RvEOtpmvqutw_5KbuWRK4D8Tq/s1600/032.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
As you can probably tell from the way it covered the veins in my hand versus the top photo, it does have good coverage. It didn't break me out and when I'd remove my makeup at night, my skin didn't feel dried out at all, it felt rather like I'd had a moisturizer on it all day long.<br />
<br />
Why, when there are loose glitters, shimmer powders, and every other alternative for when a girl WANTS glitter, would you try to force it on us in something as routine as a foundation? <br />
<br />
If you like shimmer or glitter in foundations and moisturizers, then this is for you and, due to all its good qualities, I highly recommend it. Were it not for the glitter, I'd be almost as in love with this stuff as I am my <a href="http://wookiewifeys-romulanvanity.blogspot.com/search/label/Skinfood">Skinfood</a>. It just wasn't for me, though.<br />
<br />
How about you? Do you love the glitter and shimmer in foundations and moisturizers trend? Am I the only one not enjoying this trend and thinking it actually ages you more (or just makes you look ridiculous) instead of giving you that promised, dewy, youthful glow?<br />

<br />
This is Orly FX in Starburst. It took 3 coats to get it to this opacity as one or even two are pretty super sheer. The drying time is quick, though, so there's that. Like most glitter-heavy nail polishes, this will chip and crack faster than most others, but I think any of us who have owned a few (*cough* or 20 *cough*) heavy-glitter ones know to expect that. :)<br />
<br />
Also, it is worth noting that I adore the packaging on these. The grippy on the lids makes them super comfortable to use.<br />
<br />
While I'm not on board with the color, (which I actually bought for my best friend and she knows to expect all non-holiday makeup and nail-related presents open and swatched), for a heavy-glitter nail polish, this stuff goes on pretty nicely and it *does* deposit the glitter well, which is a lot more than I can say for some I've tried, so I definitely recommend!<br />

In this particular package, there were A LOT of brown solid liners! I figured that instead of reviewing them one-by-one, why not take some of them that had the most similar shades and pit them up against one another to see which one has the nicest quality and is the easiest to work with. So cue up some old Western gunslinger soundtracks and let's get on with it!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi44YqpY9vTTilFLUSqMUko1vo3RyMU7N52H61CR3BMJJbSLDxgXc_S9-Y0woGCr_qr_kDjKZKLSiOu-DSIAzvLzMQuSBoua5qonLUIQJV8e7S7L3sWICDJHtvPg4UjmG8eJ0LBMGnvPqof/s1600/002.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi44YqpY9vTTilFLUSqMUko1vo3RyMU7N52H61CR3BMJJbSLDxgXc_S9-Y0woGCr_qr_kDjKZKLSiOu-DSIAzvLzMQuSBoua5qonLUIQJV8e7S7L3sWICDJHtvPg4UjmG8eJ0LBMGnvPqof/s1600/002.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I chose these four:<br />
Estee Lauder Automatic Eye Pencil Duo in Walnut (which actually I found the title to be misleading as it has a sharpener and smudgey-thing on the other end instead of another color)<br />
Maybelline Unstoppable in Espresso<br />
Estee Lauder Eye Defining Pencil in Deep Brown<br />
Ulta in Chocolate (nothing special on this packaging, really, so I assume it is sort of their standard, and this was a twist-up).<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg3Cul-JskyzFEEM86B9f7FryGrb9BgmiFaEMkLXOL0wyp9AsKkoATraTaFt3uvK450cNDJCvemnjtqiBv8gvTuyYOD3f9EOtjhIkKxm-0RG9xMqwSvnCTwqqe0VcKFatKvutx1VKunhH4b/s1600/005.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg3Cul-JskyzFEEM86B9f7FryGrb9BgmiFaEMkLXOL0wyp9AsKkoATraTaFt3uvK450cNDJCvemnjtqiBv8gvTuyYOD3f9EOtjhIkKxm-0RG9xMqwSvnCTwqqe0VcKFatKvutx1VKunhH4b/s1600/005.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
In order to easily tell them apart since the colors are so similar and also to test the control and consistency, I just used them to label themselves on my inner forearm.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg8K_iuLt6UUC8sUj09f9k1qVs8R0ybvP-KuTigH89x9ManDIItZfWNMZz_eLQ2mHJw6NphAsLOXRibuFs_OEkmpXM9O9I2S1lBmieLuU2HQRG_Irkz9Dh2CYRTD0zaLKT-yc7hH7LlqU-Q/s1600/006.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg8K_iuLt6UUC8sUj09f9k1qVs8R0ybvP-KuTigH89x9ManDIItZfWNMZz_eLQ2mHJw6NphAsLOXRibuFs_OEkmpXM9O9I2S1lBmieLuU2HQRG_Irkz9Dh2CYRTD0zaLKT-yc7hH7LlqU-Q/s1600/006.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
This Estee Lauder Duo walnut one was the lightest of the bunch, but I threw it in there anyway. As you can see in the photo, it straight-up flakes off and leaves glitter-sized chunks of itself all over. The control wasn't too bad, but no one wants to have to go back over their liner with a brush or q-tip to get rid of the gobby and/or dark parts. I'll give this one a pass on that, though, because since it comes with the smdugey thing, it is likely that it is SUPPOSED to be as soft and move-able as it is, so I don't think this one is actually designed for a clear, concise line. Once you factor that in, it is quite nice (and it does smudge and blend well).<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPRjfsBEkzUbIfWI6DumeBR6-uj7JXAGimnPUObmDQpMgr8NijVcSCXYdGQOMPoeCsLCvIG_DdoCaxO_Dw0VevCp61GKJghXfOxI7kjOtE1u1RxM_34kyLVDyb8XmCBnLnrARCwyunafqB/s1600/007.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPRjfsBEkzUbIfWI6DumeBR6-uj7JXAGimnPUObmDQpMgr8NijVcSCXYdGQOMPoeCsLCvIG_DdoCaxO_Dw0VevCp61GKJghXfOxI7kjOtE1u1RxM_34kyLVDyb8XmCBnLnrARCwyunafqB/s1600/007.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
The Maybelline Unstoppable in Espresso was extremely similar in quality to the Estee Lauder. Chunks aside, had it been a blind test, I'd have assumed it was same brand, different shades. The color, however, I wasn't too stoked with, but that's just personal preference.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiu_BlV125KSWJU94WcrHuWziGWwAi3MXyZOdxzbQ6Zrze4GWdtgqEbtoawJYaebQVpU6BK2366TeJyRqYCdQr2Mp8nxUVy7FOxRY_QXYdKT5D37RH9vHBxhmX96eKKRyhQenOrh3LKfTXI/s1600/008.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiu_BlV125KSWJU94WcrHuWziGWwAi3MXyZOdxzbQ6Zrze4GWdtgqEbtoawJYaebQVpU6BK2366TeJyRqYCdQr2Mp8nxUVy7FOxRY_QXYdKT5D37RH9vHBxhmX96eKKRyhQenOrh3LKfTXI/s1600/008.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
This Estee Lauder Eye Defining Pencil in Deep Brown was surprisingly great. I just sort of scrawled the name, so that's my fault, not the liners, but even with my quick scrawling, the control and the color is quite nice and the color just glided right on. The liner was soft and manageable, yet didn't leave weird clumps, I didn't have to go over anywhere twice, and I was pretty happy with this one!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjAJmOcoE0lzarPtEvB7IfT8HyMRNxE5BGiozkVhToGlLzKFZ_ktLvmkliHQBTRpFqFU_YXJ57PL25eQthigonQg_GBVf01_eq5itIxbYfudpWwtZkG3LS8MChVpNVv_jtx8KxZOOtXZBlQ/s1600/009.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjAJmOcoE0lzarPtEvB7IfT8HyMRNxE5BGiozkVhToGlLzKFZ_ktLvmkliHQBTRpFqFU_YXJ57PL25eQthigonQg_GBVf01_eq5itIxbYfudpWwtZkG3LS8MChVpNVv_jtx8KxZOOtXZBlQ/s1600/009.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
This was my least favorite of the bunch. I was pretty surprised with the shoddy quality of this one since other Ulta products I've tried are pretty rockin'. This, however, was extremely hard to control and was so dry that the color just didn't transfer well. You can see how it took me a few tries to actually press hard enough for it to really transfer clearly. Definitely not the winner.<br />
<br />
So what's my verdict?<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5pQORWf8jsiPHpX7__6qDDvLu42HbEAERQa87FqqJ8nDuT8FIFI965yJZEvfJkbGc9HdJCDptpPFqoDlLXYv1d73l_ESEv8ilZC0uHHn3PM-9EqymX1wuX5f-GO-kN-Sn6g3ytGTHe4al/s1600/010.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5pQORWf8jsiPHpX7__6qDDvLu42HbEAERQa87FqqJ8nDuT8FIFI965yJZEvfJkbGc9HdJCDptpPFqoDlLXYv1d73l_ESEv8ilZC0uHHn3PM-9EqymX1wuX5f-GO-kN-Sn6g3ytGTHe4al/s1600/010.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Oddly enough, the Estee Lauder Eye Defining Pencil was, in my opinion, the best of the bunch. I didn't expect this as, of the four, it was the most plain-jane and the only one that wasn't a twist-up. History has proven that I will choose a twist-up 9 times out of 10. I'd say that Estee Lauder has nailed the art of a standard, oldschool pencil liner. Honestly, my money was on the Ulta for being the best of the bunch and we see how *that* worked out, so I guess that just goes to show that you shouldn't necessarily rely on the brand!<br />

I'll admit it. I was pretty much a stupid amount of stoked when I found this on clearance. I think I paid $2.50 for it. I was so excited, in fact, that I forgot to take pics before I took it out of the packaging, but what was in there was the nail color and decals above!<br />

<br />
I was pretty confused about their pairing choice of the gold decals with the gold color...Maybe it was a mistake and that's why they went to clearance? Either way, I liked both, so I was still happy.<br />

<br />
The photos really don't do it justice. This is in natural lighting and you can't see all the flecks of copper that are in there...it just looks gold.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEha0SIDZE9CnXAVoHIKF_9xTgsAq4894kncMNWDIYLvajE6mv_2k2_IudXrkN-C5W5iAKYMPiXvH9GC0pHz-8W8Ocynudj5BL9lNKAVzq3YqDDfpPTp89CSCNwh47J3OQ7ft284PznUa0I6/s1600/014.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEha0SIDZE9CnXAVoHIKF_9xTgsAq4894kncMNWDIYLvajE6mv_2k2_IudXrkN-C5W5iAKYMPiXvH9GC0pHz-8W8Ocynudj5BL9lNKAVzq3YqDDfpPTp89CSCNwh47J3OQ7ft284PznUa0I6/s1600/014.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
The 'with flash' shots are a little closer to reality, but still not doing the color justice...However, I like it very much and will use it a ton in the fall. It is 'neutral' enough to match pretty much anything, even a nice dress, yet the copper sheen it has makes it just really pop with flowy, boho fabrics and lots of natural jewelry.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhj2Ue__WPW0vV1cbBC9EWDBcFSedsEvdjP3kQWnw25_hvPlG37W0TAyR-bZO9wNdQGm5FS7Y-HQdHAXtyV-fzzOiwtMyc7bzhyT97zSrBBBVf4NS-rKpWpwUXtOf-3iOqyatk7EynZAB37/s1600/019.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhj2Ue__WPW0vV1cbBC9EWDBcFSedsEvdjP3kQWnw25_hvPlG37W0TAyR-bZO9wNdQGm5FS7Y-HQdHAXtyV-fzzOiwtMyc7bzhyT97zSrBBBVf4NS-rKpWpwUXtOf-3iOqyatk7EynZAB37/s1600/019.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Now...the decals...They're pretty terrible. I put them over a plain red so that they'd actually show up. I loved the design and they were easy to apply, but they stayed kind of...gooey. Yes, the red had *completely* dried before I put the decals on. Within 48 hours, they had gotten gooey-collecting-lint-and-stuff gross and most of them had sort of rolled off as if they were made of glue dots.<br />
<br />
I recommend grabbing the set if you can find it on sale for the gorgeous nail color, but knowing what I know about the decals, I wouldn't pay full price for a set, even for the nice color.<br />

<br />
You'll have to excuse the usage, I normally like to take photos before I delve into a product, but my camera randomly freaked out on me and decided to just lose about 200 photos I'd taken for the blog, so I had to go back and re-take them.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYsDNFO0rxOoVHYEJIFSS1850uBzc9HbNGVXiDNsRXJi1OYhqWOop4kGD9YAThbE-i9Tw7Fp3gb9_CJYEWKpzkaxisQi5qGphDnyiEVu8G74h91-RGFktky39FtCMo8iIhCs2bzyzRCL4R/s1600/050+(2).JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgYsDNFO0rxOoVHYEJIFSS1850uBzc9HbNGVXiDNsRXJi1OYhqWOop4kGD9YAThbE-i9Tw7Fp3gb9_CJYEWKpzkaxisQi5qGphDnyiEVu8G74h91-RGFktky39FtCMo8iIhCs2bzyzRCL4R/s1600/050+(2).JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
...Moving right along, here's a shot of the back...This stuff goes on crazy creamy and dark, though you DO have to take care to get it wet and mix it enough. I use a small refillable perfume sprayer full of water. I just spritz a spray on whatever side I feel like using that day, then mix it up with my brush and apply just like I would a gel liner.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEga3tB9O5fklQDuh7skMLg-1G6QbrThd-6ECJeJLoneYeAIlyoPwL649ZsNCW839x7DdL9s13Ixe7wkDU2vKMZi2hpy_FLxlbmSxvCuPfRKKT_Nb0oz9eO_Y3u3CckxNRS-G3kz9TVw1-8W/s1600/044+(3).JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEga3tB9O5fklQDuh7skMLg-1G6QbrThd-6ECJeJLoneYeAIlyoPwL649ZsNCW839x7DdL9s13Ixe7wkDU2vKMZi2hpy_FLxlbmSxvCuPfRKKT_Nb0oz9eO_Y3u3CckxNRS-G3kz9TVw1-8W/s1600/044+(3).JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
You can get razor thin lines with the stuff, and the color comes out gorgeously matte and dark, but you can add a bit more water to the mix to get a more sheer, build-able effect. While it does take a few times applying this to get used to it, I find that it is cleaner and easier to apply than gel liner and that it has a ton more staying power when dry. Definitely recommend!<br />

Hopefully this one won't end up getting too many things added to it, but I figured it was time for a catchy name for all these products I use that don't work for me. Introducing...MAKEUP BREAKUP!<br />
<br />
Now, keep in mind, anything under this label will just be products that *I* didn't care for. If you don't have an issue with the things I list about them and the reasons I give for breaking up with them then, by all means, give them a shot! Most won't be horrible products by any stretch of the imagination, but everyone's skin and preferences are different, so these posts will be to just help people who have similar preferences to mine when shopping for new products!<br />
<br />
On with the song and dance, no?<br />

<br />
The first breakup goes to Clean n Clear Morning Glow Moisturizer.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgAMuezYnyLO4P0p_zGEXgw1GeM0iMbUHi_KXtQnq5CTd93OTi5n7gg0Hu7DNUkkRgMQxDAfxGHPrUYhtNaFHFpG8vBXK5pGDQhdFztlfIbQJQpBV4e5yFaC2o5BgnXtRRfF-7RyDMpI5OG/s1600/110.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgAMuezYnyLO4P0p_zGEXgw1GeM0iMbUHi_KXtQnq5CTd93OTi5n7gg0Hu7DNUkkRgMQxDAfxGHPrUYhtNaFHFpG8vBXK5pGDQhdFztlfIbQJQpBV4e5yFaC2o5BgnXtRRfF-7RyDMpI5OG/s1600/110.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
It LOOKS like a normal moisturizer...<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiz-NbZwL0-kcq4zmYiiF7zBTs7Pb-vcG7DeBosfuceTz_1dYTF5FS3bGAyDc86tb2QKz5GSMU9Rziw6WnUYOl-k79tyvhmVoOnWW-GLmlu9X7y9NM6zbED2OLaYCGppF0YeqYfcUDdd8sv/s1600/111.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiz-NbZwL0-kcq4zmYiiF7zBTs7Pb-vcG7DeBosfuceTz_1dYTF5FS3bGAyDc86tb2QKz5GSMU9Rziw6WnUYOl-k79tyvhmVoOnWW-GLmlu9X7y9NM6zbED2OLaYCGppF0YeqYfcUDdd8sv/s1600/111.JPG" height="480" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
However, it isn't. Now, it is hard to tell in the photos, but I left this one huge (and you can click it to get it even bigger), but this stuff has a freakin' MICRO SHIMMER IN IT! Yeah, my arm is NOT that glowy. It looks 'glowy' in the photo, but IRL, it looks like I got attacked by a 90's teenybopper. <br />
<br />
Now, don't get me wrong, I love glitter and I love shimmer...but like many things in life, I only like it when I expect it or put it on myself. Nowhere on this bottle does it mention that it has a shimmer in it. Nowhere. If it had, I wouldn't have bought it. I think somewhere on the bottle it said something about a 'healthy glow'...well, yeah, anyone can fake that with a dusting of shimmer powder. That's totally cheating.<br />
<br />
Other than the shimmer, it is a good product, so it made me very sad that they soiled a good, moisturizing, great-smelling product with that crap. And, yes, the shimmer does show and mix in with your foundation if you try to put makeup on over it.<br />
<br />
So, sorry, Clean n Clear, I still love you, but as for the Morning Glow Moisturizer? We gotta break up.<br />

This glitter top coat actually seriously impressed me.<br />

<br />
This is Venique in 'Sea Diamonds'. Now, I'm not usually a huge fan of glitter that is only silver, but this one has so much interest due to the different sized specks of glitter, not to mention that I need a top coat by this brand if their plain top coat is HALF as slick and shiny as this stuff.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1kqJivNgj5lqBlpz4gCxGCUESS73AMP7xM2r2_RNzvIc6cIVEhhSpUDYI6G9UqCPT25rubEcm9MPOiz318kLgK5YLktCGPZvCyUq4HBlBhzcDOBOfXo3t01__ePyLW_zbNP2b7dIkM8Ox/s1600/010.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj1kqJivNgj5lqBlpz4gCxGCUESS73AMP7xM2r2_RNzvIc6cIVEhhSpUDYI6G9UqCPT25rubEcm9MPOiz318kLgK5YLktCGPZvCyUq4HBlBhzcDOBOfXo3t01__ePyLW_zbNP2b7dIkM8Ox/s1600/010.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Lookit how glossy it dries! Most glitters I have dry kind of matte and dull and you have to pile about 3 top coats OVER them to achieve any kind of gloss at all which, of course, usually gets dinged well before the 12 freakin' hours it takes to dry. Seriously, there have been times I have painted my toe nails, waited 2 or 3 hours, gone to bed, and wake up to smudged/smeared/smashed/imprinted digits. Not cool.<br />
<br />
This stuff, though dried super fast over one coat of Sephora Pantone in Anthracite (review coming soon), and I am very, very pleased with this particular product. HIGHLY recommend if you're into epic glitter top coats that you don't have to pile even more crap over and...um...who isn't?<br />

Inside are the remover wipes. They look pretty normal and unassuming. They're amazing. While I didn't notice too much of a grape-fruity smell, they didn't have a bad smell, either. They do quickly and effectively remove nail polish, though, and even the heavily-glittered and confetti ones, so that was super impressive! No soaking, no scrubbing, just a relatively quick and painless removal. <br />
<br />
The cuticle oil in them is lovely. I would remove my nail polish, then wipe my nails down with a paper towel to get the oil residue off of my nails, but still have it on my cuticles, then paint like normal. Even though I'm sure there was still a bit of residue on my nails, my nail polish still lasted just as long as usual, but my cuticles were *much* more happy since cuticle oil is one of those things I almost never own or remember to buy!<br />
<br />
The only thing I found to be a bit irritating about these is the lids can be quite hard to get back on without cross-threading them, so you have to be pay attention to how you put them back on so that they don't do that and end up drying out the wipes, but that's such a tiny, minor complaint in the big spectrum of awesome, here!<br />
<br />
Overall? HIGHLY recommend these! They were tons better for my nails AND easier to work with than traditional nail polish remover.<br />

Everything has just been...odd. While the cooking blog will still be on hiatus for quite some time, I've been considering getting the other two back up and running, but just couldn't seem to make myself actually sit down and do it. Today, I checked the mail, and I got *just* the kick in the ass I needed! Time to kick off...*drum roll please*....MY FIRST FASHION RANT!<br />

<br />
This is Alloy. I've gotten their catalogs since I was a teenager. That's right. I've been shopping with them for about a decade and a half. I love that they always have adorable clothes and that they actually have LONG inseams for those of us with ridiculously long legs. They also have a very good size range for a 'straight' catalog. Their 'straight' sizing goes up to, I think, 19, so I've never had any trouble fitting into their clothes. They're pricey, but their clearances are INCREDIBLE.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjEsKf2JWmnZRA7RIuV0MZbfKlbFUOlAw5WyeoDwWJm20AmzNIsOzhw3Z0EK4arXzf2O-DSVym9jt2bx2U3GmIez7RFodQ04KKbWjxPgD20HqUV3E5C3dolABcECpUGJETZtYIOHrOuhsFE/s1600/025.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjEsKf2JWmnZRA7RIuV0MZbfKlbFUOlAw5WyeoDwWJm20AmzNIsOzhw3Z0EK4arXzf2O-DSVym9jt2bx2U3GmIez7RFodQ04KKbWjxPgD20HqUV3E5C3dolABcECpUGJETZtYIOHrOuhsFE/s1600/025.JPG" height="240" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
The catalogs have always looked like this...as did this one. All the way through the entire thing, same rail-thin models as usual. I'm not knocking them, I think they're beautiful! Only thing is, that for a catalog that carries sizes so large, I'd always wanted for them to get some curvier models so I could see what their clothes might look like on ME since, especially when you're not teeny, buying clothing online or via a catalog can be a MAJOR PITA.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<br />
O.O<br />
<br />
Looks like I got my wish, right?<br />
<br />
Well...Kind of.<br />
<br />
Can you guess where this was? It was <i>tucked into the back. </i><br />
<i><br /></i>
Mhmm. Lemme just let that sink in for a second for you. <i>It was the last two pages, just plunked back there like a fucking afterthought.</i><br />
<i><br /></i>
Still don't get it? They're introducing an entire new line. This is something most companies would be STOKED about and would be shouting from the rooftops and pulling all kinds of advertisement on. In fact, I've seen in the past, Alloy show said 'rooftop shouting' on their catalogs AND website for new lines, new brands, new color options, etc.<br />
<br />
But since its plus sized girls, we have to get <i>shoved to the back of the catalog like their dirty little fucking secret.</i><br />
<i><br /></i>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhOQrwQQvqaSM2e-DoqDcUyh2NmdgHLSgt6bQ0hjfZbulQ4Qcp495FyWrjCFAQNlzRMqmmhyphenhyphenevjI38tWi69rcl6mp3z7X8teTQShVV0G3M3nDbRCIVUb-oskIytxE8E8S3sQmcMi5eItrpT/s1600/027.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhOQrwQQvqaSM2e-DoqDcUyh2NmdgHLSgt6bQ0hjfZbulQ4Qcp495FyWrjCFAQNlzRMqmmhyphenhyphenevjI38tWi69rcl6mp3z7X8teTQShVV0G3M3nDbRCIVUb-oskIytxE8E8S3sQmcMi5eItrpT/s1600/027.JPG" height="320" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
I figured "hey, I'm over-reacting". I read this little snippet and went to their website expecting some big "grand opening"-type extravaganza. What did I find?<br />
<br />
One. Little. Link.<br />
<br />
One little fucking link almost all the way to the end.<br />
<br />
I love you, Alloy. I love your extended inseams and your adorable clothes and the wicked clearances you have that make it to where I can actually afford your clothing. I'm not going to boycott you over this because it seems you're trying. It is like you *want* to stick up for us big girls, but, not having the balls to go big or go home, you shoved us in the back. Great thing to do to women who already struggle with a healthy body image with all society throws at them. I mean...did you think that through? So 'E' for effort, but 'F' for complete failure to consider your placement and such. We deserve to get just as big of a grand entrance with our new line as any other one has, not being shamed to the back of the catalog and a tiny link on the website.<br />
<br />
Tsk, tsk.<br />

(Part 1)Hi everyone! I promise I hadn't planned to be gone so long. Our internet went out sometime between Dec. 14th and 16th, and due to holiday rushes, we just got it back working steadily (sort of) yesterday.<br />
<br />
At any rate, I did my usual hit-the-store-on-the-26th thing to see what all goodies I could get at half off. I got very lucky this year and EVERYTHING I had been eyeballing over the holidays was actually still there. Usually most of it is gone and I only get one or two of the kits I'd wanted, so I was super stoked!<br />
<br />
However, I'm breaking this down into two posts since some of the stuff, I wasn't so thrilled with. There were 4 more kits, but all by the same brand, so I plan to do a long post on that brand itself, as well as those products and the ones by them I've bought in the past in the near future.<br />
<br />
I also got a bunch of decorations on clearance I'd wanted for NEXT Yule, so since it is past the holidays now, I'll leave that up to you guys, so if you want to see the new decorations, then just leave a comment below, and I'll take pictures and make a post! :)<br />

<br />
First thing I made a straight shot for was Britney Spears' Curious perfume. This stuff smells amazing, and the bottle is gorgeous, though this is sadly the plain one without the atomizer. However, since I only paid 10 bucks for it, I can't complain. Due to the smell of this, I wouldn't care if Satan's name was emblazoned across the front.<br />
<br />
Judge me if you must. I'll still smell fabulous.<br />

These are the Vile Villains Body Shimmer Sprays and it wasn't something I'd even seen on my previous trips. so I'd had no plans to buy it, but when I saw it, I just had to have it. Most Disney stuff I see is emblazoned with Mickey or Minnie, neither of which I can stand, so I was pretty stoked to find all villains, sans mice.<br />
<br />
Scents are as follows:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Cruella DeVil is Cruel Candy - a sweet, almost cotton-candy smelling spray.<br />
<br />

<br />
Ursula's signature scent is apparently Vile Vanilla - I adore vanilla, so we have that in common. :) This one smells like, well, vanilla.<br />
<br />

<br />
Maleficent is Ghastly Grape - This one is grapey and very sweet - almost like grape kool-aid.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
Last, but certainly not least, is the Red Queen from Alice in Wonderland, and I was SO HAPPY she was in this collection as I've collected Alice in Wonderland stuff since I was about 8. My grandmother used to read me to sleep with it every night I stayed at her house and I've been obsessed ever since. Anyway, her scent is Punishing Pomegranate, which is lovely.<br />
<br />
All the sprays have a light micro-shimmer as opposed to the chunky ones that always clog the little sprayers, which is nice. The scent lasts about as long as I expect of any body spray - a few hours on skin, a bit longer on clothing. Seeing as how I picked up the whole set for $2.50, I'm VERY pleased. Last I was at our Wally-world, they still had a TON of these left, so I'd say its definitely worth looking for next time you're out and about.<br />
<br />
Did you get any good after-Christmas sales?<br />

The only flavor they had in my normal brand was one I really don't care for, so I decided to try something new. Turns out, that was a good choice!<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />

As you can see, it has a very light pink tint to it that looks very pretty on and has a great, creamy consistency that moisturizes your lips without feeling waxy or gross...and the icing on the cake is that it tastes like jelly beans! I am in LOVE with this. In fact, I loved this so much that the next time I was out, I bought the medicated version, Baby Lips Dr. Rescue in Just Peachy, a nice nude-tinted color, and it is just as impressive and has almost a minty flavor. To make things even BETTER, this stuff is about $3-4 a tube, depending on where you pick it up.</div>

Verdict: My new go-to balm. </div>

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWifgz1WrEh50HfiboBBXf0JnSJaVuRHRK3WdWzqpMxNqiy6dH5hAie0t_1DnPfR6wmDfuZhqW6BG55Vq1Q8mVl2SHJiSTWfUrVW37F5txaSs6q1cqj0MiC61T4UtXDpgmpc2NHdmZ0Vko/s1600/005-2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWifgz1WrEh50HfiboBBXf0JnSJaVuRHRK3WdWzqpMxNqiy6dH5hAie0t_1DnPfR6wmDfuZhqW6BG55Vq1Q8mVl2SHJiSTWfUrVW37F5txaSs6q1cqj0MiC61T4UtXDpgmpc2NHdmZ0Vko/s320/005-2.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
This was the first truly intricate nail design I ever tried. Since I'm me, I was halfway into it before I noticed I had no nail polish remover left, so you'll have to excuse the messy edges. The theme is L from Death Note. If you haven't seen the anime, he is munching on some sort of sweet or candy in almost every scene. <br />
<br />
The index finger is supposed to be lollipops, but they didn't go so well. My traffic finger is cupcake frosting with sprinkles and a cherry, ring finger is L's little L symbol he always used, and the pinkie is jelly beans! The teacup on the thumb is the one I'm most proud of, but we'll come back to that.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBQwm2xIn5FM9LOsW-kIHFzP9tErFYjj0OQD36Sq6Wo5HZsvsT3AFm8KDJ_5fx588JA9avpzOfoB_D-8nTtRaj_JxP3GJsLmUg4HJPgCArlbBweEqJcl1ACLGJcbC3anH_r35-4D9qNjbV/s1600/009-1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhBQwm2xIn5FM9LOsW-kIHFzP9tErFYjj0OQD36Sq6Wo5HZsvsT3AFm8KDJ_5fx588JA9avpzOfoB_D-8nTtRaj_JxP3GJsLmUg4HJPgCArlbBweEqJcl1ACLGJcbC3anH_r35-4D9qNjbV/s320/009-1.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Other hand was rhinestones on the thumb as gumdrops, a sort of jawbreaker pattern on the index, little glitter hearts for conversation heart candies on the traffic finger, ice cream with a rhinestone cherry on the ring finger, and on the pinkie...Well, I ran out of ideas and just glued a huge gem to it.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Here's a closeup of my tea cup. I'd never attempted anything like this before, so I was pretty stoked with how cute it came out, even though it is a little off-center.<br />

For one, I can't afford them and for another thing, most things I've tried from their line I'm not a fan of. This is an exception.<br />

<br />
Here's what it looks like out of the package.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwIDT0Hk_Y7CiXta32hg68GELY9VW-7PfyOA0nZAckKKQ3-mO1K_cmLcasdU4vvpi4A_uU3vxgxlu0l15k06y3KCxz6yuNn1L49CN9BIon9Wg63kqMbOrbRug6xwbVVzIGBSgDUtKJSx8I/s1600/010.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjwIDT0Hk_Y7CiXta32hg68GELY9VW-7PfyOA0nZAckKKQ3-mO1K_cmLcasdU4vvpi4A_uU3vxgxlu0l15k06y3KCxz6yuNn1L49CN9BIon9Wg63kqMbOrbRug6xwbVVzIGBSgDUtKJSx8I/s320/010.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I LOVE this little gem in the end. Such a nice, girly touch. I know I've said this before, but I believe ALL makeup should have pretty packaging with little details like this. I adore the merging of 'useful' and 'beautiful' in all things.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhIpTE0Pdm1mN4F2g61yXdxrEHdFHthB4M63wdXBgTtitfXnfkPocMUNKL7FYpUClir2FALX7-07uP0UI239BDQOezRD4dVVJ9zhtTEpS1lpCzxokDJlG6zsZBNQLMpu_LVuoUT3n2vnjai/s1600/012.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhIpTE0Pdm1mN4F2g61yXdxrEHdFHthB4M63wdXBgTtitfXnfkPocMUNKL7FYpUClir2FALX7-07uP0UI239BDQOezRD4dVVJ9zhtTEpS1lpCzxokDJlG6zsZBNQLMpu_LVuoUT3n2vnjai/s320/012.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
This stuff did NOT want to show up in photos, but you can see it better if you open the picture up. Top is without primer and bottom is with primer. No wet swatch with this one, I forgot. >.< It is a very lovely, shimmery, baby-pink color. It goes on smoothly, I've had no trouble with it creasing with or without primer, and it blends nicely as well.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkP_EKXN6rmgj37IFtAhGxu_XxNhy-T0-XjiMRtL9c7OkgLqziI6iFqAHwTnTH9Ofm7Ta8vmdTBuDk9dU0ca-E6TcQI1snNC6drzC0LLrj7zSyo836z77WtGP-mhMkVNWdDqsd2cNO8iU9/s1600/014.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkP_EKXN6rmgj37IFtAhGxu_XxNhy-T0-XjiMRtL9c7OkgLqziI6iFqAHwTnTH9Ofm7Ta8vmdTBuDk9dU0ca-E6TcQI1snNC6drzC0LLrj7zSyo836z77WtGP-mhMkVNWdDqsd2cNO8iU9/s320/014.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
I also forgot to take a picture of the applicator, which is different than any other one I've seen. Instead of being tapered, it is a little round ball. Sort of annoying as it makes it tough to get in the corners of your eye if you're wearing it on the bottom lid.<br />
<br />
What I DO love about this is the tubey-thing it comes in. Unlike every other loose shadow I've had that comes in a tubey-thing, this one seems to have mastered the art of tubey-thing-ing. When you pull the wand out, you don't get this fine spray of color all over your hands, clothes, and the tubey-thing itself. Most I've had end up being such a mess, but this one is nice and tidy and I adore that.<br />
<br />
From what I can tell, you can pick these suckers up for around $10 with shipping on Amazon. While I'd normally get my panties in a bunch over paying that for only one color, I do think this one is a worthy splurge. The package is a generous size and a little bit goes a long way.<br />
<br />
RECOMMEND!<br />

<br />
Here's what was in the package: Instructions, a small file, the tips, and clear strips.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgfjU1BTGPpcfdRqHP-avNo7aHxaLj9CTA81TTQ-S-2PVN_muI_8Q7akCeNWyg65JzfPWunwE6lUJycyUQhYjjHFJLlLUK0D-U5eEbTYUANTcb52b2uaaXOrjoHALQmAIkx6QImWCTDKYY9/s1600/007.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgfjU1BTGPpcfdRqHP-avNo7aHxaLj9CTA81TTQ-S-2PVN_muI_8Q7akCeNWyg65JzfPWunwE6lUJycyUQhYjjHFJLlLUK0D-U5eEbTYUANTcb52b2uaaXOrjoHALQmAIkx6QImWCTDKYY9/s320/007.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
With these, the first step is to put the actual tip part on.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9UI_tVe3Dc4f0ZdAwOSAsfQPl7iAQ37nCVGdfk0ecWZO3kJCXlCpItgi71U_aQY6GBDwS_m1-4SjuQ2SV9JlxnjUjFOb6JIm2rpypWEBG1Q4OOK3gsUZSFDregXu6DRkCPpDTQUqy2Bf_/s1600/008.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9UI_tVe3Dc4f0ZdAwOSAsfQPl7iAQ37nCVGdfk0ecWZO3kJCXlCpItgi71U_aQY6GBDwS_m1-4SjuQ2SV9JlxnjUjFOb6JIm2rpypWEBG1Q4OOK3gsUZSFDregXu6DRkCPpDTQUqy2Bf_/s320/008.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>

Same as you would the regular strips, only you start at the nail bed instead of the cuticle area.<br />

Next, apply the clear strips over the whole nail.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiOYIA2FQzJv8r8Bi8tHRsC0SVv-c_IeLdNs6HTBPFgFmVoksLLAFh7iQ_9ZppsBdAFTANp3MDLQL9nHKnDZu4vtMrdIa_aAHRSpizvPuSCjhRXkJhjS6JfGzumSL_-q28eHz6C7RczCywv/s1600/020.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiOYIA2FQzJv8r8Bi8tHRsC0SVv-c_IeLdNs6HTBPFgFmVoksLLAFh7iQ_9ZppsBdAFTANp3MDLQL9nHKnDZu4vtMrdIa_aAHRSpizvPuSCjhRXkJhjS6JfGzumSL_-q28eHz6C7RczCywv/s320/020.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
And done!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgs9pxSGrFTZO2tyJW75CTDqdExZkdKRpXvqGbASa8AXyPULRzYYr8wnt3p6-ww02RttNJnyRwgYqiN0UG5hHqXCTIsgQ4jZF-z4XvqtBU2IwDksBMpDklr4WT04qSYxfPRUaecxYpsGgnF/s1600/021.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgs9pxSGrFTZO2tyJW75CTDqdExZkdKRpXvqGbASa8AXyPULRzYYr8wnt3p6-ww02RttNJnyRwgYqiN0UG5hHqXCTIsgQ4jZF-z4XvqtBU2IwDksBMpDklr4WT04qSYxfPRUaecxYpsGgnF/s320/021.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Now, while I like these and think they are cute as hell, I'm not crazy about the application time. I guess it would get quicker the more you do it, but it took me MUCH longer to apply these than it does to do a french mani by hand AND let it dry. I think it took me something like 2 hours because you have to do so much fiddling. The small strips seem to be way harder to put on than the full-nail ones.<br />
<br />
Either way, they were really cute, a lot of fun to try, and they held up quite well. I wore them for about 4 days before they started to chip really badly and I had to remove them, but that was due to a big cleaning binge with lots of scrubbers, not the product itself. >.<<br />
<br />
<br />
Now for an announcement:<br />
<br />
<br />
<span style="color: magenta;"><b><3 <3 <3 New Feature! From now on, every blog post, I'll be adding "listening to" space and list whatever song I'm listening to at that moment. I figure that way, anyone who loves finding new shit can look it up if you're curious and maybe find some new bands to fall in love with! <3 <3 <3</b></span><br />

<span style="color: magenta;"><b>Listening to: Lordi - "Would You Love a Monsterman"</b></span><br />

<span style="color: magenta;"><b>So, what do you think? You like the new feature or do you think I should scrap that idea?</b></span><br />

My bestie, being the awesome person she is, ordered me the Skinfood Good Afternoon Peach Green Tea BB cream and concealer. I fell IN LOVE straight away, so I guess that means its time for the review!<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQQFTcsovrI930U4GLzN6Hla4qwL3VYgQBGlGotuTBFQS_NnmsxOwDoqKWs3ZZaLdWxcYF3PF9XIpTMOXZCVifcunSJj_11JdGMqtECRC-FhVYM_JN3Lq2XyPhJVul6hDzeeArZ0BENfuK/s1600/088.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgQQFTcsovrI930U4GLzN6Hla4qwL3VYgQBGlGotuTBFQS_NnmsxOwDoqKWs3ZZaLdWxcYF3PF9XIpTMOXZCVifcunSJj_11JdGMqtECRC-FhVYM_JN3Lq2XyPhJVul6hDzeeArZ0BENfuK/s320/088.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
First off, when I opened the package, I saw this super cute box it was in. I love the little teacup cutout.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhvtLLiXrsSSoXlU_E29mkUvSVVKjtr_PfLs0akOdgeGJB_TGWVoCQiATeZVapQYwplyVwHBu8zjkhGUo-OEbTKxW-KyzUdjSn5UWue1MjNFYgdeBBnAHjuw3hEPILF6d_1499ftstoWnaU/s1600/089.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhvtLLiXrsSSoXlU_E29mkUvSVVKjtr_PfLs0akOdgeGJB_TGWVoCQiATeZVapQYwplyVwHBu8zjkhGUo-OEbTKxW-KyzUdjSn5UWue1MjNFYgdeBBnAHjuw3hEPILF6d_1499ftstoWnaU/s320/089.JPG" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
As a bonus, there was this little packet of samples included. <3 samples.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi0eQR9CkYo-ZS9nl8Qa_UcEF2i_fCzMj2MdOSBs5hDmBoZ5YmVEQpFf7jNq1b4by5SV6lX9RFBvahaLRf0MRfxB9UHe5Gky5YncwGtZlDsewQxJvx-F4vEGKdJ7AM5iytqOrrUS0kcSgI1/s1600/090.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi0eQR9CkYo-ZS9nl8Qa_UcEF2i_fCzMj2MdOSBs5hDmBoZ5YmVEQpFf7jNq1b4by5SV6lX9RFBvahaLRf0MRfxB9UHe5Gky5YncwGtZlDsewQxJvx-F4vEGKdJ7AM5iytqOrrUS0kcSgI1/s320/090.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
This is what was in there. I don't usually review samples as I like to use something more than once before passing a verdict, however, once in a blue moon there is a product that just really, truly wows me in one go. If any of these have that effect when I try them, I'll be sure to post a review!<br />
<br />
Also...Um...What is that volumer stuff? Any ideas? Anyone? I can't read most of the writing on it. *.*<br />

<br />
Anywho, upon opening the cute little box, this was inside. The tube is cute, as you can see, and a good size - about the same as any other foundation I've tried.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgT85HKyoq3EDj54yziks3j0kz3zYbuu7Ylp9o2qENvZXK8zl6gv63mOe8L6iMqTrGrn3uXF7tgus-m291Z1K2tYJxjUqQ0-42GOlmpCwDMaF6R99Z5_QOD_4UUJk33g6759R69QRHWLtHc/s1600/093.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgT85HKyoq3EDj54yziks3j0kz3zYbuu7Ylp9o2qENvZXK8zl6gv63mOe8L6iMqTrGrn3uXF7tgus-m291Z1K2tYJxjUqQ0-42GOlmpCwDMaF6R99Z5_QOD_4UUJk33g6759R69QRHWLtHc/s320/093.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Here's what it looks like straight out of the tube. It isn't too thick or too thin, it blends beautifully, is easy to work with and...I loves it. Just in case I haven't mentioned it yet, this stuff smells FUCKING AMAZING. Most foundations I've tried have a funky, sort of chemically, weird odor to them, even when they claim to have none at all, so I as pleasantly surprised when I opened it up and was hit with this amazing scent.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5OPdVTJ11B41s4pPh_nqADvAukjnd-40DCXd1r0JokB9o5iYVFTB8VcK-V_0dxhdCknyR6qdlF4aE4Ml7gk25ZqFpmImZUMWN1DrQn47rSo50iO4zgACVPlowXKYKpufkzxRV9-gpBuAJ/s1600/094.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg5OPdVTJ11B41s4pPh_nqADvAukjnd-40DCXd1r0JokB9o5iYVFTB8VcK-V_0dxhdCknyR6qdlF4aE4Ml7gk25ZqFpmImZUMWN1DrQn47rSo50iO4zgACVPlowXKYKpufkzxRV9-gpBuAJ/s320/094.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
As you can see, once blended, it does just what a foundation is supposed to do. It looks gorgeous once you have it on and feels much lighter than other foundations. This was my first experience with a BB cream and I was pleasantly surprised. I'd hoped for something better than other foundations I'd tried in the past, but really expected it to be on par, however it hit the ball right out of the park...And yay for SPF 20! The last foundation I had was a tinted sunscreen foundation, it ran about the same as this one (though I got it on sale for like $4), AND only had SPF 15. While I still wish there was an SPF 40 or 50 foundation, I will certainly take the extra 5 points!<br />
<br />
It isn't full coverage, I wouldn't say...More along the lines of medium, which is just perfect for me. Usually if I have bad breakouts, there is no such thing as a "full-coverage" foundation to fix that and I *have* to use concealer to cover them.<br />
<br />
This stuff goes for around $12 plus shipping on amazon and I can't tell you how worth it it is. The shipping does take a bit since it came from overseas, but it was so worth the wait. Due to my super sensitive skin, I've never found something that works quite this well, and this will be my go-to foundation from now on. Unless something better comes along. :)<br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
<b><span style="color: magenta;">No, your memory is not failing you, nor is it that funny taste that may have been in your drink. Although, if that actually happened, you may want to look into it. You may have seen this post before. In an attempt to make everything easier to navigate for everyone, I am working on transferring all of the old beauty and craft posts from the recipe blog to their appropriate homes on the newer wings. I'll be only one a day so as not to clog up your feeds, so please bear with all the boring re-caps!</span></b></div>

<b><span style="color: magenta;">~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~</span></b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<u><b><span style="color: magenta;"><br /></span></b></u></div>
I came up with this completely out of...I have no idea, it just sort of hit me, actually. I just had a box of feather sitting around I'd bought that didn't work for the project they were intended for, so there they sat.<br />
<br />
<span style="color: magenta;"><b>Edit: hilariously, this idea started popping up EVERYWHERE shortly after I posted this, so it must have been a mutual strike of inspiration as I hadn't seen it anywhere and I know I'm not popular enough here for anyone to have seen it, really...funny how that works!! :)</b></span><br />
<br />
Alone.<br />
<br />
Neglected.<br />
<br />
Sad.<br />
<br />
We can't have that, now can we? I've been on sort of a nail kick lately and I'm running out of ideas (nail art is a superb idea until you realize you can't draw) so now I suppose I'm just randomly affixing things to my nails in search of something new, and this is what I came up with:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgmRM0CG_MXS0dIgdBQS6C803FnghL7GkxaT2GlrnRGfJ6_PavYAyFbuaDSbpy4CfUtPBC4D7_GSYS0rzp29VPBUYtv1ZAwYE96plsn9tgbyLb-J7CeLsEV8zubH504IXLe9-W4pI8G2Oo/s1600/090.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgmRM0CG_MXS0dIgdBQS6C803FnghL7GkxaT2GlrnRGfJ6_PavYAyFbuaDSbpy4CfUtPBC4D7_GSYS0rzp29VPBUYtv1ZAwYE96plsn9tgbyLb-J7CeLsEV8zubH504IXLe9-W4pI8G2Oo/s320/090.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Not the most awesome thing ever, but I dig it and can't wait to try it with other colors and feathers...And on tips since my nails are so short this was actually kind of difficult.<br />
<br />
Pardon me if this attempt at a nail art tutorial sucks, its my first one. =)<br />

<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
First, put down your base coat if you roll that way and your base color. I used a light blue...My idea was sort of a feather floating through the sky thing although it looks nothing like that, lol.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJC6qgleFCK8vVVR7a4vUO1RLizyDZGRoC1hDTkagwgCwEazgx8jJMfkPixcmwDanY7rCtQKwPtBypiGMtkZ4668lYMS0drMyjmFAkYnINmidjSIspBoamJEBjYGGIqidPhJQBRna35qg/s1600/086.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiJC6qgleFCK8vVVR7a4vUO1RLizyDZGRoC1hDTkagwgCwEazgx8jJMfkPixcmwDanY7rCtQKwPtBypiGMtkZ4668lYMS0drMyjmFAkYnINmidjSIspBoamJEBjYGGIqidPhJQBRna35qg/s320/086.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Then, you'll need your feathers, some tweezers, a top coat, and some scissors (not pictured).<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgU8VJpcPjffnBljvnYsOJ0iHygGsOEF1aK-Tk4r2yLSPlysn5S2k2YhoLc0vdMr4acQCcBsh-rPQMFhMnwd9HL24ptHTx790r5BJnQEjiYqbd4dYsDLEwBk5CkhRxITut100f_qpCQKY8/s1600/087.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgU8VJpcPjffnBljvnYsOJ0iHygGsOEF1aK-Tk4r2yLSPlysn5S2k2YhoLc0vdMr4acQCcBsh-rPQMFhMnwd9HL24ptHTx790r5BJnQEjiYqbd4dYsDLEwBk5CkhRxITut100f_qpCQKY8/s320/087.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Ok, now there's some pictures missing here since I only have two hands and they were both occupied. I tried two different methods with this: I trimmed the feathers before applying and some I applied THEN trimmed before I mashed them down...Those turned out way better.<br />
<br />
Anyway, pick your method...the above is one I trimmed first. Then, apply a coat of clear, grab the feather with your tweezers and lay it on your nail on top of the still-wet clear coat. Before you press it into place (I just used my finger, but if you are fancy you can use an orange wood stick), be sure to go ahead and trim any edges you may have missed that will hang over.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1ptNYgTgXW98EIIJ_0dyI4ajveDIkxa9AQSMrqpfw3EkDU1_-Uk7t5i0s1PfseNEXKsDM5hh_claaSNzNPpgeMBdtqq_3wAFD5YRD2MdHfTs1y-jVwizdCxL9CojLugwuol6Jb5eoOtc/s1600/088.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1ptNYgTgXW98EIIJ_0dyI4ajveDIkxa9AQSMrqpfw3EkDU1_-Uk7t5i0s1PfseNEXKsDM5hh_claaSNzNPpgeMBdtqq_3wAFD5YRD2MdHfTs1y-jVwizdCxL9CojLugwuol6Jb5eoOtc/s320/088.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Then, press the feather gently down into the tacky gloss so it sort of sticks and lays flat.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgzgEifzo8wD5B_udhij6Ei1KBOxpsYk9TAbbZSw8943e832DTQrSiLRLMgHiRPLskG0uRfLCZXcHyZyJoTDnlQF7Rccbu6zsU1Ckq7D8ZfLQ0jBeHvdwi9uGxWA6oruPUcaRn_QF3y5F4/s1600/089.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgzgEifzo8wD5B_udhij6Ei1KBOxpsYk9TAbbZSw8943e832DTQrSiLRLMgHiRPLskG0uRfLCZXcHyZyJoTDnlQF7Rccbu6zsU1Ckq7D8ZfLQ0jBeHvdwi9uGxWA6oruPUcaRn_QF3y5F4/s320/089.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Keep going...And once you've done them all, put a nice, thick clear coat over the top to seal everything in.<br />
<br />

<br />
...And feather toes...Please to ignore the scratches on my toes, I do own a cat. I tried to do feathers on the right foot on the smaller toes as well, but it didn't work so well.<br />
